Tuesday, July 9, Tour of the Claremont Colleges, 9:30 to 12, concluding with lunch in the beautiful Claremont village.
Wednesday, July 10. We leave for Hollywood in the afternoon and (for those who sign up), attend the Magic Castle that evening. The Castle event costs $150/person and must be signed up for prior to the conference. See details at the above link. On Wednesday morning, the talks will be open to the general public, including guests or registrants.
Thursday July 11 – Downtown Los Angeles tour – 8:24am train to LA Union Station – includes walk through and lunch at Olvera Street, with possible stops at Grand Central Market, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and The Last Bookstore.
Friday July 12 – (if enough interest) – visit and self-guided tour of Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino (approx 9am – 5pm). Note: reservations REQUIRED in advance
(Alternate plan for July 12) – visit to local California Botanic Garden in Claremont; self-guided tour, open 8am – 5pm. This is walking distance from DoubleTree Hotel.
